Who is the insurance for?
The Cookery School insurance is aimed at all cookery school operations; large commercial cookery schools, smaller private cookery schools, demonstrating chefs and artisan food producers demonstrating at events.
Why should I have insurance?
Insurance is important for any business or individual especially when you are providing a service for others. If you are a large cookery school you need to have a number of areas covered by your insurance and equally if you are a smaller cookery school or freelance chef. You are insuring against all risks to you, your premises, your clients and the general public.
What is covered by the insurance?
The insurance is individually tailored to your needs, but will include liability cover, poisoning & contamination, contents, property, equipment and legal costs.

The insurance is provided through Hiscox. We have chosen Hiscox as our partner based on the high level of overall service that they provide, including their excellent reputation for their claims service.

Is my existing policy fit for purpose?
We are unable to comment on your existing policy without seeing it, we are able to advise on the cover and if there are any gaps in your cover. I run my cookery school from home can you cover me?
Yes, there are many chefs who operate from home running demonstrations and cookery courses for clients. The insurance covers you operating form home and we can include full cover for your house too. In our experience your existing household policy will not cover you from operating a business from home and especially a cookery school with all the risks involved.
The cookery school is part of a hotel can you cover us?
Yes we can cover you, the unique approach form John Morgan Partnership and the policy itself enables us to offer cover for the cookery school itself or the whole operation including the hotel.
Are there other policies on the market?
The John Morgan Partnership Cookery School Insurance is designed specifically for cookery schools and those demonstrating within cookery schools or external shows and events. In all of our research of the market there is not another insurance on the market that is specifically for those operating within cookery schools.
